  • $100 million new facility designed to house the County's emergency operations and the 911 center, the Virginia Department of Transportation
  • New 333,000 square foot, $34 million school accomodating 2,338 students using seperate but easily secured quadrants containing the main lobby and auditorium, science and technology, recreation and a 3-story classroom space.
                                        Architect: Grimm & Parker
  • The project is a renovation to this historic, above ground three-story (with basements) high school originally built on 1932 with alterations and additions made on 1974. The proposed renovation in the existing main building (Sections C &D) required the provision of a more open space, which involved cutting of the slab and walls of the existing building. New steel beams and posts were required in areas where walls have to be removed for support.
  • The new 96,000 GSF Student Center at Bowie State University was designed to provide a central gathering space for the Bowie State University campus. The building features a number of facilities and spaces for both resident and commuter students, including a theater/lecture hall, multipurpose rooms, a bookstore, game rooms, a campus dining facility, numerous lounge areas for student gathering, a greenhouse, and a coffee bar.
  • The Richmond Justice Center is a design-build six-story, 412,000 square foot, precast facility with 1,032 beds that shares a site with the City Jail. The unusual topography of the site -- the residential portion of the Center is nestled against an 80-foot bluff -- offers privacy, and the extensive sitework and landscaping create vegetated views from each room.
  • A data center for the County’s Department of Information Technology will be hosted on the second floor in the tower. The total area of the building is approximately 275,000 square feet. Blast resistant and progressive collapse design requirements have been implemented
  • The Student Center was designed in accordance with LEED Platinum certification requirements, and incorporates sustainable design features such as a 14,000 SF green roof, photovoltaic panels, a rain garden, and more.
  • The Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project – Silver Line is a nearly $1.2 billion project intended to create a new Metrorail line originating at Wiehle Avenue in Fairfax County, Virginia, and extending northwest through Washington Dulles International Airport to Route 772 in Loudoun County, Virginia.
  • The renovated Duke Ellington School will continue to server as one of the premier magnet schools for the performing arts in the nation’s capital, and transforms the landmark building into an iconic, 21st century world-class arts facility while still respecting the historic character and integrity of the existing building.
  • The Deanwood Community Center’s siting integrates the new structure with the adjacent 5.8-acre park, helping to define the space between the Center and the Ronald Brown Middle School at the opposite end of the park.
